Why TruthAction?
Imagine that you have never seen a book in English before and that someone handed you a little sturdy booklet that had pictures of your people, your town, and written words in your language that were telling you the story of Jesus Christ. Would you want one? Can you think of any reason why the Body of Christ should not be sharing the Gospel in culturally relevant materials?
TruthAction is working with missionaries to reach the unreached people-groups of the world to the ends of the earth with custom made Gospel materials in their own language AND culture. When a child is taught the Gospel and receives a Gospel booklet in their language with illustrations that are drawn to look like them and where they live, they know that "Jesus loves me and died for me and my people". The child (and adults, too) are then able to receive this as a message just for them, instead of a foreigner's story from the western culture. TruthAction has seen firsthand the reactions of people in a remote village who had never heard of the cross, as they gasp in amazement when seeing pictures of themselves, their homes, and their surroundings in the Greatest Story Ever. The native missionaries and pastors in these third world countries are thrilled to receive these culturally relevant tools to reach their people with this life-giving message of God's love for them.
TruthAction cannot do this alone! We need your help in assembling booklets at your church, training and resourcing missions teams and your missionaries with TruthAction materials, and allowing us to share all that God is doing through TruthAction with your church. We ask that you prayerfully consider partnering with us through covering this ministry and its impact in the world in prayer, and by giving to this ministry so that we can continue producing and giving the free message of the Gospel to those who have never heard.... for free!
