Current Progress- Bughotu people of the Solomon Islands receive 1500 custom Gospel booklets by motorized canoe.
In addition to the 1500 booklets made by 3 diffferent churches across America, an animated Powerpoint presentation of the Gospel was produced and for most villages that do not have electricity, a pocket chart teaching system with 9 scenes and some 60 plus water-proof pieces was created. Each piece has to be hand-cut, laminated, and cut again to fit the pocket chart. It is all worth the effort of the hundreds of volunteers, especially when we see the faces (see pdf file below) of those hearing the Gospel in their own language with pictures and illustrations they understand. These pictures make the Gospel presentation culturally relavent. In other words, the story of Christ from the creation to the cross is a message for all people, not just America and westernized countries. We thank all of you who participated in giving the Bughotu people this little booklet- only the second book (the 1st book is the New Testament from Wycliffe missionaries) to be printed in their own language. And we thank God for letting us help spread the Greatest Story Ever around the globe- we are blessed!
